Rules and regulations

1) To enter to become a contestant of the Big Apple Pageantry Inc. system. All contestants must be born male. All contestants by the date of the event must be 21 years of age or over. Proper identification will be requested in the form of a state drivers I.D, Non drivers I.D or Passport which is valid and not expired. Identification must be a picture I.D. Contestants must present this at registration. Failure to do so will deem the contestant ineligible to compete. This is non negotiable.
2) We recommend contestants to pre-register; however contestants have the option to register at the night of the event. The entry fee for Miss Big Apple New York, as well as Miss Big Apple New York Plus is $100.00, the registration fee for Miss Big Apple Newcomer will be $50.00 the registration fee for Mr. Big Apple will be $100.00

All registration fee’s are non refundable. Should a contestant wish to register the night of the event the contestant will be subject to a “late registration fee” of $25.00 in addition to the already set entry fee’s.

3) Big Apple Pageantry Inc. does not discriminate against any contestant on hormones, or has had cosmetic surgical procedures such as but not limited to silicone, breast augmentation, etc. This will in no way affect the scoring of any contestant however all contestants must have there male genitalia in tact at the time of competition. Big Apple Pageantry Inc. Does reserve the Right to request proof in the form of medical documentation stating the above Mentioned. Big Apple Pageantry Inc. reserves the right to request such medical documentation from any contestant. Big Apple Pageantry Inc. does not allow real nudity in any portion of any of its pageants by contestants, dancers, or audience members. Any contestant showing full bare breast nudity or any genitalia will be automatically disqualified and removed from the venue. While we do not frown upon nude illusion fabrics, or barely there costumes (i.e. g-strings, bra, pasties, thongs, fabrics that give the illusion of bare skin) , we request all contestants represent themselves in a tasteful manner at all times while on the property of the venue in which the pageant is being held. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification and removal.

4) Miss Big apple and Miss big apple plus judging will be based on the following categories- presentation, interview, Talent, Evening Gown, on stage Q&A. Talent category is judged out of 200 points; evening gown is judged out of 200 points, on stage Q&A is judged out of 100 points, presentation 100 points, interview is judged out of 100 points. Any ties will be broken by the score in the talent portion of the contest. Any contestant not at the appointed place at the appointed time will lose administrative points accordingly (if you’re called to the stage and are not ready points will be deducted). Score sheets will be available at the pageant close. All judges will make themselves available to all contestants for discussion following the pageant should any contestant have any questions.

5) Talent will be limited to 7 minutes, all contestants will have 3 minutes to set up and 3 minutes to break down, any talent performances over the 7 minute allotment will have administrative points deducted. All contestants must be sure to bring at least two C.D’s of professional quality clearly marked with contestant name and song title, Please be sure your talent number is the only track on the C.D as the D.J will not look for a song. Any props for the talent portion of the pageant must be able to be brought into the venue with out complication and by the contestant or contestant’s helpers. All props must be removed following the contestants usage for there performance from the venue. Should props be too big, unsteady or dangerous to any audience members, staff or other contestants for the venue they will not be allowed to be used. Big Apple Pageantry inc. its affiliates and staff are in no way to held responsible for any props, costumes, or any constants belongings. Fire, water, any form of pyrotechnics, live animals, liquids loose items such as glitter, confetti or any dry powder substances that must be swept away or mopped up following a talent performance will not be permitted. Should a contestant be caught using any of the above during a talent performance there music will be stopped immediately and result in immediate disqualification and removal from the venue.

6) The use or sales of illegal drugs or misuse of legal drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated at any venue for Big Apple Pageantry Inc. by any contestants, helpers, dressers, dancers etc. Immediate disqualification as well as law enforcing agents will be notified. Any contestant, contestant helper, dresser, dancers, spectators caught touching, damaging, stealing or being the direct vicinity of another contestants belongings or damaging any items at the venue in which our events are held will be immediately removed , the contestant they are associated with will result in immediate disqualification and will be banned from entering any and all Big Apple Pageantry Inc. events in the future. Legal actions will be taken for breaking any of the afore mentioned rules.

7) Evening gown portion of the pageant will consist of a walk in a full length gown of choice. Appropriate length is to the top of the shoe, or with in one inch there of. Each contestant will have ample time for this category; however any contestant on stage after the M.C. has called your name twice after the contestant’s initial introduction to the stage will be deducted administrative points. Gowns will be scored on style, fit, appropriateness for the contestant, hair, and make up, accessories, walk, modeling, and poise. Any contestant not wearing a floor length gown for this portion of the competition will not be scored in this category. All evening gown description cards must be already filled out and handed in at registration. We at Big Apple Pageantry take this category very serious, please be sure you gown is made for you and your body style.

8) Miss Big Apple New York does not have a size or weight requirement. The categories will be Interview, presentation, talent, evening gown, on stage Q&A.

9) Miss Big Apple New York Plus contestants must have a male waist measurement un-padded, of 38"-40” or must weigh 200 pounds or over at registration and will be weighed at Registration. Big Apple Pageantry inc. reserves the right to weigh and or measure any questionable contestants and have The final say on this matter. Contestants not meeting the required criteria for competition will not be allowed to enter the Miss Big Apple New York Plus pageant, but will be invited to enter the Miss Big Apple New York Pageant. We believe plus should be PLUS. The categories will be Interview, presentation, talent, evening gown, on stage Q&A.

10) Miss Big Apple New York Newcomer can be anyone which is not considered a professional entertainer. Categories for this portion of the contest will be creative presentation, evening gown, on stage Q&A and male to female transformation in the form of 2 photographs. Photographs must be presented at registration. All photographs must be current. Failure to supply your photographs will result in the contestant not attaining any points in this category. Photographs will not be accepted via e-mail; however we will accepts them via regular mail. Contestants should not expect to receive there pictures back, therefore we recommend submitting color copies of your photographs which can be made at any local copy center.

11) Mr. Big Apple New York must be a biological male. All contestants by the date of the event must be 21 years of age or over. The categories for Mr. Big Apple New York are Presentation in swimsuit/beachwear-100 points; talent-200 points, on stage Q & A-200 points, and formal wear-200 points. Formal wear is open to interpretation.

12) All contestants must stay on stage during crowning, and for pictures. Failure to do so will result in the contestant loosing there placement and forfeiting there prize package. All winners must submit professional promo pictures wearing their winning crown and jewelry set with in 30 days of the date of winning the pageant. Any winners not in accordance with this rule will be de-crowned , stripped of there title and be banned from any and all future event held by Big Apple Pageantry inc. and will have to give the entire prize package and crown back to Big apple Pageantry staff, all winner must bring the crown they were crowned with to all bookings , the crown must not be changed. All winners must bring there crowns in which they were crowned for there give up. Failure to do so on a willing basis will force Big Apple Pageantry staff to take legal action.

13) Under no circumstance is a contestant to become intoxicated at anytime before or during the events, this will result in immediate disqualification.

14) Pageant etiquette and conduct- all contestants, contestant helpers, dressers, dancers and spectators for contestants will conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner while on the premises of any Big Apple Pageantry inc. events and pageants. This is non negotiable. While we all want to see our friends do well, we will not tolerate anything less then responsible adult behavior. Any individual suspected of less than sportsmanly like conduct will be removed from our events by any means necessary.

15) Big Apple Pageantry Inc. And staff reserves the right to make any decision concerning any matter not discussed and listed in these rules and regulations.

Rules for Miss Long Island Pride Parade

1)Please refer to Big Apple Pageantry rules , The categories are Evening gown and onstage Question and Answer.REGISTRATION FEE IS $30.00 .
2) Winner must be able to make all the mandatory appearance's such as, the Winter ball, The long island pride parade, the Spring fling, the Valentines dance, the Rainbow cruise and the Pride dance, the winner will receive a schedule upon winning, since 2 tickets are given as part of the prize package these are not paid bookings.
3) winner must Submit a head shot with in 30 days of winning the pageant or all prizes will be requested to be returned and forfeited.
